About me

I Was born in Sheffield in the uk in 1969. My parents named me Peter John Whitmore after my father and I am #3 of 5.5 brothers. Aged 16 I Became a soldier in the British army. During that time, I met my wife, had two children and in 1990, did something stupid and broke my neck nearly drowning in the process. That rendered me paralyzed from the neck down, but together with the help of my wife, son and daughter, friends and other family members, I managed to pick myself up and tried, failing many times at many things, to become something I, and then others, could be proud of. The real me, I guess.

I have been in the Information Technology field since 1996, I got my Masters of Science in 2011, and have worked on many projects including with machine learning and artificial intelligence in my time.

I was in the choir as a child and a part of me always wanted to be involved in music, and after I took up singing in 2015 in our company choir, rekindled my passion and ambition to be creative in the field. Music gave my spirit a space to be free. Unfortunately, due to my disabilities was never able to play an instrument, but I always wanted more.

I know the jury is out when it comes to the benefits of AI when it comes to ‘creating’ music, but for me it has been freeing and enables me to combine my passion for music, tech and AI! I write all the lyric myself and use my virtual composer to create what I believe is good music!

The songs are reflections on my state of mind as well as answers to questions I kept on asking myself. i hope you enjoy listening as much as i enjoyed creating them.

finally, for those of you who need to, please forgive my use of AI.
